The TPSA project’s five selected Indonesian coffee producers were hosts to five buyers from Canada: Bean North Coffee Roasting from Whitehorse, Just US Coffee from Nova Scotia, Cooperative Coffee from Montreal, Los Beans Trading Inc from Vancouver, and Lenoir and Lacroix from Montreal. The Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia participated in both missions, as did key TPSA partners. The Canadian buyers were able to see and talk first-hand with five Gayo Arabica producers in the Aceh province of Indonesia.

The TPSA project arranged for the buyers to visit a coffee plantation and processing facilities, which provided them with the opportunity to see how quality is protected during processing. The buyers were shown red cherry picking, plantation soils, composting production, pulping, fermentation, drying, sorting, and packaging. Several unique processes of coffee processing, such as natural, honey, and full washed was also demonstrated.
