TPSA Welcomes Intern from KADIN to The Conference Board of Canada

The Conference Board is hosting a representative from the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN). For two months, Jessica Callista will work with the TPSA team in Ottawa to conduct research on Canada’s public-private consultations (PPC) mechanism in free trade agreement (FTA) negotiations. She will also conduct meetings with Canadian government agencies (Global Affairs Canada, Ministry of International Relations of Quebec) and private sector representatives (Canadian Chamber of Commerce, Business Council of Canada, Montreal Chamber of Commerce, Montreal International) to have a better understanding of the government and private sector’s relationship in that context. In addition to her work at KADIN, Jessica is an Associate in the Investment, Trade and Industry Practice Group of Bahar & Partners Law Firm in Indonesia. Her practice focuses on international trade, banking and finance, and merger and acquisition. In the past, she has worked on the Indonesia -EFTA Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), the Indonesia -Australia CEPA, the Indonesia -European Union CEPA, and the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). Jessica will be working with Wenguo Cai and Alexandre Larouche-Maltais, both senior trade and investment experts at the Conference Board.
