On September 13, 2017, TPSA was invited by the province of Aceh (organized by the Development Planning Agency Unit of Aceh/Bappeda) to present on the coffee market potential in Canada and the support provided by the TPSA project to assist Gayo coffee producers to export to international markets, including Canada. The presentation was titled Canada-Indonesia Gayo Arabica Coffee Trade Through the TPSA Project. The presentation provided participants with a better understanding of both the export opportunities as well as the level of effort that might be required by them to continue to support such exports in the future. The event was held at the Bappeda office in Banda Aceh and was attended by people from the planning agency and related technical deparments under the Aceh provincial administration (i.e., Trade and Industry, Agriculture, Cooperatives and SMEs, Investment and Promotion Board).
